Stephen J. Peterson
Stephen is an Eagle Scout of Troop 1509 of the Amangemek-Wipit Lodge. He has previously served as Amangemek-Wipit's 66th Lodge Chief and as Chief of the Colonial Chapter. He also served as NCAC 100 Years of Camping Committee Chair, NE-6A Finance Chair, Servant Leadership Award Committee Chair, and a member of the NCAC Scouting at Home Task Force as well as the NCAC Camping Continues Cast (Watch him here). Stephen has been to Philmont, Seabase, and Northern Tier (Bissett). He served on OA PhilBreak in Spring of 2019 where he worked to repair the damage caused by the 2018 Ute Park Fire. He became a Brotherhood member on 9/21/2019 and attended NLS in November 2019. Stephen graduated from Commonwealth Academy in 2019 and has gone onto Northern Virginia Community College where he is majoring in Aerospace Engineering. He will transfer to Virginia Tech in 2021 to complete his degree.
Nicholas M. Christian
Section Vice chief
Nicholas is a college student from the Amangemek-Wipit Lodge. He previously served as Three Rivers Area Chief (Amangemek-Wipit's council created areas to manage its large number of districts), Patuxent Chapter Chief, and Patuxent Vice Chief of Budget and Finance. He was also the Momentum Chair for his lodge and served as Ordealmaster for his lodge's first virtual Ordeal. He earned his Eagle Scout at the age of 14 and continued his service to the troop as TOAR. Nicholas works as a lifeguard and is currently serving as a Vice President of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. This past year he was selected for the Vigil Honor and awarded the James E. West Fellowship Award.
Andrew T. Ashby
Andrew is currently a high school senior and is from Nentego Lodge. He currently serves as the Nentego Lodge Secretary and Virginia Chapter Chief. Andrew has attended Northern Tier (Winter Program), where he learned the principles of dog sledding and dog sled across the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. He also served for a week on an OA Philbreak crew in March of 2020, where he assisted conservation staff with underbrush clean-up and timber thinning projects. Andrew earned Eagle Scout at the age of 14 and served as the senior patrol leader for one year, the assistant patrol leader for two years, and as a Patrol Leader for two years in Troop 314 located in Exmore, VA. Andrew currently works as a Network Operations Technician for an internet service provider. Andrew wishes to continue to pursue a career in telecommunications.
